Komodo, Indonesia
Sept 5-10, 2025 - 17 divers
Komodo National Park is one of Indonesia’s premiere heritage sites, which includes 29 islands and many rocky islets situated at the southwestern corner of the coral triangle. This insular plateau is home to rich marine biodiversity and abundance, as well as the world famous Komodo dragons.
With 17 divers this week, we had a fantastic experience sharing the wonders of Komodo with like-minded ocean lovers. With 5 divemasters leading our dives, the in-water ratio was ~3:1 and we all had intimate and personalized experiences. We started in the northern part of the archipelago, and then adjusted our itinerary to take advantage of a good weather window in the south. After a day with the manta rays and stunning macro life, we cruised back north to finish the trip there.
While not diving, we ventured on land for a hike around a Komodo dragon sanctuary on Rinca Island, enjoyed an afternoon at Pink Beach on Komodo Island, climbed to a breathtaking vista at sunrise on Padar Island and took in the show of a Sunda flying fox nightly migration to their feeding grounds.
