The town of Cozumel, stretched along the western coast offers preferred access to the island’s best dive sites. These include dramatic reef formations, cavernous swim-thrus, vast white-sand banks (perfect hunting ground for eagle rays and sting rays), and much more. The current that flows around the island brings a vast diversity of species both large and small. These currents also create the perfect environment for long, beautiful drift dives.

The seasoned veterans at CenoteXperience will guide you through two of Tulum’s most mystical cenotes.

Blue Project Cozumel is the premiere valet dive shop in Cozumel, offering the most personalized and comfortable dive packages. Locals Blanca & Paco, the shops owners and operators, personally welcome every diver at the hotel to perform a gear fitting and initial briefing. Each morning a designated shuttle brings you from the hotel to the boat where all your gear and diving adventure awaits. Blue Project Cozumel has a small group policy (max 6 divers/Divemaster) and allows only 8 divers per boat which ensures a personalized experience, quality service, and most importantly safety. Their fast, comfortable, fully equipped boats (O2, first aid kit, life jackets, VHF radio, GPS, drinking water, snacks) tender you to and from the dive sites.

CenoteXperience, based out of Playa del Carmen, is owned and operated by brothers Martin and Nico, two locally renowned cave divers and explorers. They provide a seamless experience from pick-up to drop-off. During our dives in the cenotes the professional crew will guide us through two recreational cavern systems. With a max group size of 4 and decades of experience between them, they offer a safety minded experience, while honoring the explorer’s mentality.

conservation & Environmental stewardship

During our trip you will have the option to participate in the Cozumel Department of Ecology’s Baby Sea Turtle Search and Rescue Program, which is a small part of a larger project being conducted to monitor, study and protect vulnerable sea turtle nesting sites along the eastern shore.

Part of the proceeds of this trip will be donated to the Cozumel Department of Ecology, Inside Under will also provide with insights on how to minimize your ecological footprint during the trip.

Alex spent 2 years living in the Caribbean, diving and familiarizing himself with its reefs and cultures. He has logged over 800 dives and 100+ certifications there, and has lead exploratory excursions, seamount expeditions, outer island dives, and everything in between. Alex is intimately familiar with the habitats and creatures and has forged relationships with the most knowledgeable operators and guides. 

During your trip, Alex will serve not only as one of your buddies in the water, but as your personal expert concierge to the island and all of its non-diving attractions. Alex is fluent in Spanish and his relationships with the top dive operations, hotels, restaurants and attractions guarantee you a genuine local experience like no one else can provide. Optional activities include Mayan architecture tours, ATV adventures, and bike rentals. Ask Alex and Inside Under about his favorite adventures, and he'll help you book whatever floats your boat.

GOOD EATS INFORMATION

Tamarindo Bed & Breakfast provides a delicious, nutritious, traditional Mexican breakfast, and part of the allure of the hotel's location is its access to a wide array of culinary options. From $5 local street fare to 5-star dining, there are options for every taste and budget. A recommended restaurant list with descriptions and price points is available upon request, so ask Alex and tag along with him to his favorite spots.

BOOKING AND PAYMENT INFORMATION

There is an initial $250 deposit, and the remainder will be paid in two installments; the first being 50% of the balance, paid by June 1, 2024, and the second and final being the remainder, paid by August 1, 2024. All funds paid are refundable prior to July 30, 2023. Ask Alex about payment method options (5% fee for payment by credit card).
