Open Water Diver

The beginner, or Open Water, course for SCUBA diving uses a comprehensive approach to learning, meaning you get to practice and experience first-hand all of the concepts and skills presented in the theory portion of the course. This hands-on approach ensures that you start your diving career off on the right fin.

The course is divided into three portions. The first is self-study of the materials, either online or using a hardcopy and the subsequent review of that material with the instructor. The second and third portions of the course are in-water practice; initially in confined water like a pool or shallow pool-like conditions, followed by four dives in open water.

Alex believes in thorough feedback-driven practice, which means you'll finish the course a comfortable, confident and safe diver.

The confined water portion of the course usually happens in a pool, but if the conditions are right, we can go doggon' anywhere!
